'Sports Resort' brings fun back to the Wii

Grade: B+
There has been a drought of memorable titles for Nintendo's wildly popular Wii console, but now comes a sequel of sorts to the packed-in game "Wii Sports" that reminds us of why we love the Big N. "Wii Sports Resorts" comes with 12 mini-games such as table tennis, archery, Frisbee throwing, and kayaking that utilize the more sensitive Wii Motion Plus controller add-on peripheral (which comes with the game). Thanks to the added sensors, the controller is more accurate and gives the player more precise movements. Even with its simplified graphics, nearly all of the games are riotous fun (especially in groups). Best of the lot is a swordfighting game (so far, the next best thing to virtual lightsaber duels) and table tennis, which allows players to put noticeable spin on the ball. A must-own for Wii owners desperately looking for the next, best game.
